PETS: Readers send in photos of their animals

Readers have submitted hundreds of entries to the View's pets section. And, because we only can feature a few photos each week in the newspaper, we decided to expand the sharing online. We hope you enjoy these extra faces, and remind you to check back each Tuesday for more photos of your best friends.

"This is Bea, a 2-year-old Calico, polydactyl kitty. During the hot summer, she sleeps in my bathroom sink. Here she is bathing before her nap," said Patty Schmitz of Henderson.

"We had a hard time picking out the best picture of our Russian blue cat, Boris, doing what he does best: sleeping!" said Dolores and Terry Thurow of North Las Vegas.

"Kalie is a fun little puppy. She and her brother play together from morning till night. The is absolutely nothing that she won't chew on. She thinks the whole world is her chew toy," said Joan Ryan of Las Vegas.

"Here are the 1-year-old loves of our lives. Even after over $8 worth of dogs and $10,000 of ruined carpeting, we wouldn't give them up for the world. Peaches is to the left, and Pebbles is to the right. They are Shih Zhu dogs," said Jim and Dottie Stanford of Henderson.

"This is our Chihuahua, Pepper. He went through major surgery because he broke two disks in his back. Now he is feeling much better. He was playing hide and seek in this picture, pretending to be a flower in a flowerpot. He would have fooled us if he wasn't so darn cute," said Mike and Michelle Moniasque of North Las Vegas.
