PETS: Readers send in photos of their animals

Readers have submitted hundreds of entries to the View's pets section. And, because we only can feature a few photos each week in the newspaper, we decided to expand the sharing online. We hope you enjoy these extra faces, and remind you to check back each Tuesday for more photos of your best friends.

"Foxy is very friendly and love to play hide the treat. We have him sit in the living room as we hide the treat in the bedroom. After hiding the treat, we clap our hands, and he comes running to find the treat. Foxy likes to ride in our car and enjoys visiting the local dog parks. His favorite game is retrieving tennis balls, which he drops at our feet," said Sam Franchino of Henderson.

"Miko is the second dog that we have adopted from the wonderful folks at the Southern Nevada Pug Rescue. He is such a joy in our lives and is always making us laugh, such as this time, when he got into the trash and was walking around with a toilet paper tube sticking out of his mouth!" said Sheila Vega of Henderson.

Nick is a Chihuahua and Jack Russell terrier mix. "Nick was given to us on Christmas Eve. That's why the name (is) Nicholas. He is a chair hog. He loves to get in the recliner and sleep. He loves any kind of food, even spinach," said Mr. and Mrs. Roger E. Woder of Las Vegas.

"This is my pet, Rapid. He travels with us, and when we eat at restaurants, he gets the leftovers," said Alfonso Lores of Henderson.

"Trixie fell in love with this stroller when the kids got it for Christmas," said Michael and Michelle Romero of Henderson.
