A costly hand check for NBA’s Walker
I’m no basketball expert, but I’ll wager this is the most expensive “hand check” call of Antoine Walker’s career.
Walker, the former NBA star, was arrested at Lake Tahoe earlier this week on check fraud charges related to nearly $1 million in gambling debts he piled up in Las Vegas casinos.
But, tell me, why was he allowed to gamble at Harrah’s Tahoe after news stories circulated nationally that Walker was wanted on check fraud charges?
Walker played well for Boston and Miami. If he doesn’t get a good lawyer and enough money to cut down those debts, he’ll be playing for Indian Springs in an orange jump suit.
