Bomber’s son pleads guilty in bike theft

The son of Oklahoma City bomber Terry Nichols pleaded guilty this week to one count of grand larceny auto. He was scheduled to go to trial next week.

Joshua Nichols, 26, entered an Alford plea on Thursday to stealing a motorcycle in 2008.

Police arrested Nichols in November and booked him into the county jail on charges of stealing a motorcycle and possessing stolen property.

According to a Las Vegas police report, Nichols persuaded a man with a motorcycle to give him a ride home on Nov. 7. The two went to another address and, while the motorcycle owner was inside the residence, Nichols took the 2008 Yamaha.

The man didn't report the bike stolen for several days because he wanted to give Nichols a chance to return it.

Nichols is scheduled to be sentenced July 29.

Nichols' father is serving a life sentence for his role in the 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City that killed 168 people.
