Man sought in invasion, shooting

North Las Vegas police are looking for a suspect in an early morning home invasion that left one person wounded.

Police said a man about 30 years old entered a home on the 1800 block of Camino Mirada through an open door about 6:30 a.m.

He proceeded to rob two victims at gunpoint.

One of the victims, a 32-year-old man, struggled with the suspect and was shot. Both victims then fled the house. The wounded man suffered non-life threatening injuries and was released from a hospital.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, about 6 feet tall and weighing 230 pounds, with a long black ponytail and a mustache with a goatee. He was last seen wearing a black or blue long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans and black sunglasses.

He was possibly driving a burgundy sedan with tinted windows. Anybody with information is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 385-5555.
