Two radio stations sold to Silver State Communications

Florida-based Beasley Broadcast Group Inc. announced today it has agreed to sell two Las Vegas radio stations to Reno-based Silver State Communications for $15.25 million.

The sale, which is expected to be completed in the third quarter of this year, will give Silver State Communications KBET-AM 790 and KCYE-FM 104.3.

After the sale, Beasley will move KCYE-FM’s country music format to its sister station, KFRH-FM.

“This transaction reflects our long-term commitment to the Las Vegas market as well as our focus on further de-leveraging our balance sheet,“ Beasley Chairman and CEO George Beasley said.

“We look forward to offering Las Vegas listeners entertaining programming and local and national advertisers effective on-air and online marketing solutions," Edward Stolz, Silver State Communications president said.
