Man found stabbed in LV vacant home

A man who might be homeless was found stabbed to death in a vacant home in the east valley Wednesday afternoon.

Las Vegas police homicide Lt. Lew Roberts said police were called about 12:45 p.m. to the 4100 block of Montdale Ave. near Boulder Highway and Lamb Boulevard where they found a man dead from a stab wound to the neck.

Police were searching for a man who was seen leaving the home.

They described the man as Hispanic, 6-feet to 6-feet 2-inches tall, bald and clean shaven.

Roberts said the victim, whose name was not released, and the assailant both might have been homeless.

"The house is possibly foreclosed," Roberts said. "There are a number of homeless people who hang out there."

Belloso Lazaro said in Spanish that he has lived in the neighborhood of ranch-style homes for seven years.

He said the neighborhood is usually quiet, but added that at times he saw people going in and out of the home who appeared to be drunk.
