World Market Center lands new show

Operators of the World Market Center in downtown Las Vegas on Monday took another step toward expanding the scope of their venue.

They announced plans to launch a gift and home show in June 2010, which would be the venue's first stand-alone show outside the twice-annual furniture shows.

The market doesn't announce specific attendance figures for its furniture events, and it didn't report how many people it seeks to attract to Las Vegas for the home and gift show.
