A man wanted by Las Vegas police for his involvement in a Sunday morning hit-and-run that left two people injured was arrested today.
Mirsha Rafael Gomez-Barajas, 28, was arrested around 5:30 a.m. and booked into the Clark County Detention Center on charges of felony hit and run.
Police said they had been looking for the Las Vegas man after he was last seen fleeing the scene of an accident in which he is alleged to have backed his 2007 Dodge crew cab pickup into two pedestrians, two parked cars and a building at 3525 W. Russell Road.
The two victims were taken to University Medical Center. One was reported with critical injuries, the other with moderate injuries.
Gomez-Barajas was missing for two days until the Police Department received tips he was spotted in northwest Las Vegas. He was located driving a rental car.
