One person killed, two injured in shooting

Three people were shot, one fatally, on Sunday near Twain Avenue and Swenson Street.

Las Vegas police said they were called to the area about 5:55 p.m., where they found three people lying on the ground with gunshot wounds. All three were taken to Sunrise Hospital where one died.

Police did not release the names, genders or ages of the victims. Police also did not suggest a motive in the incident.

Police said the three people were walking across the street when they were approached by a Hispanic male, described as between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall. The man was wearing a black Oakland Raiders hooded sweatshirt and was believed to be between the ages of 25 and 30, police said.
