FEARLESS PREDICTION: Headline you’ll not read …
As the Nevada Legislature kicks off in Carson City, I have a fearless prediction that there is a headline you will not read at any time in the coming months:
"Lawmakers act to reduce unfunded liability of public employee pensions and insurance."
As legislators wrangle with the current budget, hoping for a federal bailout so they can put off the heavy lifting for two years, they'll kick this longer term problem down the road where it will explode in the hands of the next generation.
Since the public employee unions own the Legislature don't expect anything to happen now.
