Man arrested in fatal stabbing
A 28-year-old man was arrested late Friday in the fatal stabbing of a woman in a northeast valley home, according to Las Vegas police.
Police said they were responding to a stabbing at the 1400 block of Sandhill Road, near Owens Avenue, at 10:22 p.m. When they arrived, they found a man armed with a knife and a woman suffering from multiple stab wounds.
The man, identified as Marvin Black, was arrested without incident. The woman, whose name was not released, was taken to University Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
Black was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on a charge of murder with a deadly weapon.
