One killed, two wounded in Lake Mead Boulevard shooting

One person was killed and two others were wounded in a shooting in the 4500 block of East Lake Mead Boulevard near Lamb Boulevard this afternoon.

Las Vegas police detained one person in the shooting and were searching for a suspect.

It appeared that the shooting was gang-related, they said.

Police said they didn't know a motive.

They declined to provide identities of the victims or the person detained.

Police responded to scene after receiving multiple calls of shots being fired about 4:30 p.m.
