AROUND TOWN: Enjoy free pancakes for charity at IHOP

Shrove Tuesday, Mardi Gras or Pancake Day, today is the fourth year IHOP will be serving free pancakes in order to raise money for the Children's Miracle Network.

Local IHOP restaurants will be serving up free buttermilk pancakes today until 10 p.m. In return, IHOP guests are asked to donate what they would have paid for the free pancakes, or more, to their local children’s hospital or another worthy cause.  Additionally, Miracle Balloons will be sold for $1 each, personalized and displayed at participating IHOP restaurants, offering guests another way to show their support of Children’s Miracle Network and contribute to the National Pancake Day fundraising effort.

For more information on Pancake Day, visit IHOP's free pancake Web site. To find an IHOP near you, visit the store locater.
