Free throws give Centennial 4A girls basketball title

Alexis Byrd hit a pair of free throws with 0.5 seconds to play to give Centennial a 59-58 victory over Bishop Gorman for the Class 4A girls state title at the Orleans Arena on Friday night.

Bishop Gorman had taken a 58-57 lead on a bucket by Chelsie Pitt with about 20 seconds to play.
