The Ting Tings hard to ignore

She was born on a pig farm. What better preparation for a career dealing with music industry types?

Katie White, one half of British pop duo The Ting Tings, may come from humble origins, but it's not reflected much in her band's slick and glittery hip-shake. Over big roiling bass lines and a funky guitar strut, White brings more sass than a busload of third-graders.

"I want something unignorable," she sneers on Ting Ting hit "Shut Up And Let Me Go," having already lived up to her words.
