Biden plans Nevada stop
Democratic vice presidential nominee Joe Biden on Friday will make his first appearance in Nevada since being named Barack Obama's running mate, speaking at a rally in Henderson.
Biden will appear at Morrell Park, 500 Harris St., to host a rally to talk about the ticket's plan for the economy.
The event is free and open to the public. Gates open at 4:30 p.m.
Today, Hawaii Gov. Linda Lingle will visit Henderson to rally support for GOP presidential nominee John McCain.
Lingle will address grass-roots volunteers and take questions during the event at the Henderson Convention Center-Amphitheatre, 200 Water St.
The event starts at 3 p.m.
