A real mobile device

The new Nissan Cube, a stylish, boxy vehicle that's due to hit the road next Spring, isn't being called a car, crossover, SUV or anything else in today's automotive lexicon. Nope. This is a "mobile device."

Talk about marketing to the mobile world. Brilliant. The car kinda looks like an iPod on wheels. It's reminiscent of the Scion, but sleeker and more refined. It has some mobile device features built-in, just as many other new cars do. You can easily plug-in to your iPod or other MP3 player, connect to your mobile phone via built-in Bluetooth, and I'm hoping for more. I'm hoping for a model that incorporates a WiFi hot spot, but the site doesn't mention this. Yet.

See the car -- er... Mobile Device for yourself at the Nissan Cube site.
