First flu case of season confirmed in Clark County

The Southern Nevada Health District is reporting Clark County’s first influenza case of the season.

Today, the health district said it had received a report of the area's first laboratory-confirmed influenza case.

Though it is only one case, health officials said the case is an indication that the influenza virus is currently circulating throughout the Las Vegas Valley.

Health officials are urging residents to get an influenza inoculation. For information about where to get one, call 759-0850.
