MORNING LINE: Siddiqui’s casino action well known

A veteran casino source tells me Ausaf Umar “Omar” Siddiqui received a sizable cash bonus to move from one casino to another. One downtown casino is reported to have paid him $50,000 just to try his luck there.

A dealer who had the misfortune of having Siddiqui play at his table said the man was obnoxious and demanding — not unique for a high roller who has the run of the House.

Another veteran casino source tells me Siddiqui was given credit that far exceeded his estimated play level.

The big question remains whether casino executives knew they had a scammer on their hands when they gave heaps of credit to a man who earned $250,000 a year.
