Nye County authorities hunt for suspect in slaying

Nye County sheriff's deputies were searching for a man wanted in connection with the robbery and slaying of a Pahrump convenience store clerk Sunday.

The clerk of a DC Travel Center store, at state Route 160 and Mesquite Avenue, was shot and killed about 5 p.m., according to the Sheriff's Department

As of Monday afternoon, the suspect was still at large and considered armed and dangerous.

The identity of the clerk was not released by authorities.

Sheriff's deputies are asking anyone with information about the suspect or the slaying to contact a local law enforcement agency or the Sheriff's Department at 775-751-7000.
