One of the most frightening items in today's Review-Journal was this quote from an 18-year-old UNR freshman:

"The Democratic view is of people standing together, not the rich above the poor like the Republicans."

The story by R-J Carson City Bureau Chief Ed Vogel goes on to detail how Washoe County has taken a left turn, with more being registered to vote as Democrats than Republicans.

What that quote does is speak volumes about our politics, our education system and a total ignorance of history. Where might all those Democrats be standing together? Bread lines?
