Hospital Death Rates Database

The power of databases and the convenience of the Web come together to help you find information about death rates at hospital in the U.S. Deaths from heart attack, heart failure and pneumonia are the basis of the comparisons to the national averages.

Users can see lists of the best and worst performing hospitals in these areas, as well as do a comparison of three hospitals at a time in your area. Be aware that I found the database to be very popular today, and got timed-out several times when looking for results using the database search. The database permits just 500 concurrent connections, which is normally adequate. Your patience will be rewarded, as the database eventually will release a slot and let you see the data for a particular comparison.
