Rhodes offers amenities, design choices

Rhodes Ranch, a master- planned community in the southwestern valley, is surrounded by lush landscape, an award-winning golf course and a multitude of fitness opportunities at its recreation center.

Among the five new home collections available is The Fairways.

With four floor plans ranging from 2,515 to 2,903 square feet, The Fairways has proven popular among new homebuyers at Rhodes Ranch, according to sales agent Lark Lowry.

Each home includes three to four bedrooms with 21/2 to three baths.

Three floor plans are shown as models and a fourth floor plan includes four bedrooms, 21/2 baths, optional game room, great room, dining room and a two-car garage.

The Fairways' 2515 Residence, named for its square footage, includes a great room, upstairs laundry room, breakfast nook, kitchen island, butler's pantry and front porch.

According to Lowry, the 2515 Residence is one of the neighborhood's most popular designs.

"In the kitchen, the butler pantry provides plenty of room for food storage and a food-preparation island offers additional counter space," she said. "And the master bedroom and bath are just perfect with a large Jacuzzi tub surrounded by counter space ideal for towels, candles and other décor. This bath also has a niche that can be used as a vanity or for a tall dresser."

Two additional model homes at The Fairways provide 2,742 and 2,903 square feet.

Residence 2742 includes living room, formal dining room and family room that is open to the kitchen, which has a work island.

Upstairs, the master bedroom is accented with an oversized walk-in closet and a loft can be used as a fifth bedroom.

Residence 2903 includes a dining room and great room that opens to the kitchen, which has a nook.

This home also features a rectangular kitchen island and downstairs den or optional bedroom with a full bath. This versatile floor plan has two rooms upstairs that can be converted into an optional retreat or loft.

"One of the unique things about The Fairways is that the floor plans are very flexible depending on the size of the family," Lowry said.

"For instance, Plans 2742 and 2903 can be built with three, four or five bedrooms in lieu of the master retreat or loft. Plan 2903 also has a downstairs bedroom and full bath, which can be used as an office, guest room, den or hobby room."

Standard features at The Fairways include 61/2-inch baseboards and 21/2-inch casings around doors, giving the homes a more modern look.

Other standard features in homes at The Fairways include standard oak cabinetry, finished garages, ceiling fan prewiring in bedrooms and common rooms, rear yard barbecue stubs, kitchen islands, low-e windows and programmable thermostats.

Homes at The Fairways are centrally located in Rhodes Ranch, according to Lowry.

"The neighborhood is within walking distance to our spectacular R-Club community center and the Fun Zone Water Park," she said.

The 35,000-square-foot R-Club offers dozens of indoor and outdoor activities.

The Fun Zone Water Park opened last year and features eight water slides as well as a 13,000-square-foot lagoon pool.

The Rhodes Ranch Golf Club has become one of the hottest golf destinations in Las Vegas. Designed by architect Ted Robinson, the par-72 course was named a Best Value by Vegas Golfer magazine and envelops players in its lush tropical surroundings.

Rhodes Homes has built more than 6,000 homes in the Las Vegas Valley during the past two decades and is developing dozens of neighborhoods throughout the city.

Prices at The Fairways start in the high $200,000s.

To visit, take Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway, to Durango Drive, and then go south to Rhodes Ranch. Head west on Rhodes Ranch Parkway and turn left on Sherwood Greens. Follow the road to Rhodes Ranch sales center.

The sales office is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. For more information, call 740-4111 or visit rhodeshomes.com.
