Man killed by train; police investigating as suicide

A man was fatally struck by a train early Saturday morning in what Las Vegas police believe may have been a suicide.

The incident happened shortly after midnight on the tracks near Flamingo Road and Valley View Boulevard. The train’s conductor told police the horn was sounded but the person didn’t move.

Las Vegas police spokesman Sgt. John Loretto said the man may have been laying down on the tracks.
