Former Metro officer named in HOA probe found dead

Retired Metro Lt. Christopher Van Cleef, whose name has surfaced in connection with an ongoing FBI and police investigation of public corruption among local homeowners associations and construction defect contractors and litigators, died this morning in Henderson of an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to police.
