Man, woman found dead in apartment

Las Vegas police investigating the deaths of a man and woman in a Las Vegas apartment are working to determine whether the incident is a double homicide or a murder-suicide.

Las Vegas police Lt. Lew Roberts said the bodies were discovered Monday at 350 E. Desert Inn Road near Paradise Road. Police stopped at the apartment shortly after 2 p.m., after receiving a call from a man who was concerned because a colleague had missed work for three weeks.

When police arrived at the Country Club Shadows apartment, Roberts said officers looked in a window and saw a body on the bathroom floor.

Inside the apartment, police discovered the bodies of two people whose identities have not yet been released. Roberts said police have not yet established the nature of the relationship between the deceased. Only the man's name appeared on the apartment lease.

Roberts said he was unsure how long the two people had been dead.
