Credit these Las Vegas Rotarians

In the current issue of Rotarian Magazine (which reaches million of Rotarians worldwide) I am featured in an article on Las Vegas. I have not seen the article yet, but fellow Rotarian Dennis Ortwein writes to comment on a part of the article that deals with the Happy Feet charitable work by Las Vegas Rotarians. Dennis writes:

"It was conceived and first implemented by the North Las Vegas Club in 1993-94 when Mildred Anderson of Centel was club president. It was really the brainchild of Mike Massey (North Las Vegas Fire Chief) who served as Community Service Chair at the time. I was in the North Club at that time and joined several others at the District Conference in receiving a huge banner for the best new project. Others holding the banner that day were: Mildred Anderson, Mike Massey, Gary Chapin and Randy Pote. Shortly after that, several other clubs adopted/adapted the program, including several overseas."

Thanks you, Dennis, for taking the time see that credit is given to the right folks who started Happy Feet.
