Gondrezick remains hospitalized after replacement heart deemed unsuitable

Former UNLV basketball star and current radio analyst Glen Gondrezick remains hospitalized at UCLA Medical Center after his planned heart transplant for late Wednesday turned out to be a false alarm.

Gondrezick, 52, was on his way to surgery when it was learned the replacement heart was deemed unsuitable for his 6-foot-6-inch body.

Gondrezick was having tests performed this morning and said he wasn't sure what was next. He didn't know when he would be released from the hospital or when another heart would become available.
