ENTERTAINMENT: New revue to replace tributes at Sahara

Changes are afoot at the Sahara; tributes to Elvis and the Beatles will be replaced by a new revue from the producer of “Havana Night Show” at the Stardust.
The Elvis tribute by Trent Carlini has closed abruptly, and the Beatles tribute “Fab Four Mania” is moving back to the V Theater. It closes at the Sahara June 14 and reopens at the V on June 16.
Both shows are produced by David Saxe, who also operates the V Theater in the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood.
Carlini opened his Sahara show in early 2007, and won “The Next Best Thing,” an ABC talent contest for celebrity impersonators, last summer.
“Fab Four Mania” moved from the V Theater to the Sahara last November to replace the Japanese revue “Matsuri.”
Another V Theater act, Toxic Audio, will perform earlier in the afternoon, at 2:30 instead of 5:30 p.m., starting June 16.
The new Sahara revue from Nicole Durr will likely use cast members from the Cuban show that was at the Stardust.
