Trooper in I-15 crash, but is not injured

A Nevada Highway Patrol trooper was taken to University Medical Center on Saturday evening after overturning his car on Interstate 15 near Lake Mead Boulevard.

Trooper Kevin Honea said the trooper was responding to a call about 5 p.m. and had his lights and sirens on when a car didn't move out of the path of the Highway Patrol vehicle.

The trooper drove around the car and into a dirt area, where the trooper's car overturned. Honea said the trooper suffered no injuries.
