Pinnacle reaches new heights with Sable Creek in northwest

When longtime Southern Nevada residents Sharon and Scott McManus were ready to purchase a larger home for their family of three, they said they considered a number of new neighborhoods and communities.

Ultimately, they said they found their favorite floor plan design and location at Pinnacle Homes' Sable Creek neighborhood in northwestern Las Vegas.

Located at the southwest corner of Farm Road and North Grand Canyon Drive, Sable Creek offers a selection of four one- and two-story homes that range from 3,138 to 4,565 square feet in their standard configurations.

Available options enable homes to be expanded to more than 6,000 square feet and include options for recreation rooms, bonus rooms, added bedrooms, guest retreats and fourth-car garages.

Prices start in the $670,000s. The gated enclave features a landscaped entry and a private community park.

Sharon McManus, who is a professional lighting consultant, said she was familiar with Pinnacle Homes through prior business dealings she'd had with the company.

"I knew Pinnacle Homes was a reputable company with a focus on quality, which ensured that Scott and I included them on our list of prospective builders," she said. "I was already familiar with Sable Creek, so I suggested to Scott that we stop by and take a look together."

Sharon McManus said shortly after arriving at Sable Creek, she and Scott knew their search was over.

"Scott was as impressed with Sable Creek as I was," she said. "We immediately liked the gated privacy, the elegant look of the exterior elevations and the large home sites, which provide space between the homes and can easily accommodate a swimming pool, outdoor entertaining and RV parking."

Next, she said she took Scott through the Colonial model home at Sable Creek.

"I loved it as much as Sharon did," Scott McManus said. "We were looking for more space than we had in our former home and the Colonial design offers an exceptionally spacious and open floor-plan design."

The Colonial model is a two-story home that features a private courtyard entry, four bedrooms, a den and 41/2 baths. The McManuses selected the optional bonus room, recreation room and guest retreat, which expanded their home to 5,736 square feet.

"The kitchen, great room and nook are all in one huge central area, making this home perfect for everyday living, as well as entertaining on a large scale," Sharon McManus said. "As an example, this year we had 22 people for Thanksgiving dinner and no one felt crowded at all. In fact, there were three family chefs working simultaneously in the kitchen and they each had all the space they needed.

"We also love the large master suite, which has a huge walk-in closet," she said. "The secondary bedrooms are also very spacious and the upstairs floor-plan design provides each of us with plenty of privacy.

"It is a very luxurious, yet livable home that works for the three of us, but would also suit the needs of the largest of families," she said.

The McManuses also like the northwest location of Sable Creek.

"We really like the surrounding area, which consists primarily of other upscale homes and neighborhoods," Sharon McManus said. "We're within minutes of all kinds of shopping centers, restaurants and other conveniences families enjoy having close to home, plus easy access to (U.S. Highway) 95 and the 215 Beltway, which provides us with an easy commute to other areas of the valley."

The couple said they were equally impressed by the services they received from the Pinnacle Homes sales and customer service people.

"One of the first impressions we got at Sable Creek was the willingness of Pinnacle Homes to help us create an indoor and outdoor environment that would best suit our needs as a family," Scott McManus said. "They were very flexible and accommodating and worked hard to see that any questions or requests we had were taken care of in a professional and timely manner.

"Based on our experience, we're glad we chose Sable Creek and Pinnacle Homes and we would certainly recommend this builder to others. They care about quality and make you feel as though they really appreciate you as a customer," he said.

Pinnacle Homes is offering home buyers a complete backyard pool, spa and landscaping package, according to the builder.

The homes at Sable Creek feature a long list of features, such as 10-foot ceilings on the main level and 9-foot ceilings upstairs, enclosed entry courtyards, covered front porches and rear patios, kitchen islands, granite kitchen countertops in a choice of colors and maple cabinetry in a choice of finishes.

The homes are also energy-efficient, with 2-inch-by-6-inch exterior wall construction, reflective roof sheeting, low-emittance thermal break aluminum windows and patio doors.

Pinnacle Homes is a member of the Southern Nevada Green Building Partnership, which was established to help builders design and construct more environmentally sensitive, or "green," homes.

To visit, take Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway, to North Hualapai Way. Drive north on Hualapai and turn right on Severance Lane. Then left on Grand Canyon and left on Doraville Avenue.

The sales office is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. For more information, call 341-1588 or visit pinnaclelv.com.
