Pedestrian struck, killed on Route 66

KINGMAN, Ariz. -- An intoxicated pedestrian wandering on and off Historic Route 66 was struck and killed in the westbound lanes Tuesday.

Arizona Department of Public Safety spokesman Bart Graves said the accident occurred at 7:38 p.m. two miles north of Kingman. The dead man's name was withheld pending notification of kin.

Graves said the driver of the 1987 Ford hatchback involved in the accident, David Michael Ohowell, 30, of Kingman, was not injured.
