Boggs must hire attorney
Former Clark County Commissioner Lynette Boggs was told today that she does not qualify for a public defender and must hire an attorney to defend herself against charges of perjury and making false statements.
Hearing Master Kevin Williams rejected Boggs' claims that she is facing economic problems and cannot afford to pay an attorney, and then delayed her arraignment until Oct. 3 to give her time to hire a new attorney.
Boggs had been expected to plead not guilty to the charges.
