Two metal bands at The Joint

Halloween comes early in the form of two metal bands who pack all the blood, guts and lewd, lurid thrills of 1,000 Lloyd Kaufman flicks.

Britain's symphonic, mascara-mad Cradle of Filth has become one of black metal's top-selling acts, with religion-baiting lyrics and Grand Guignol theatrics.

Costumed cut-ups Gwar are best known for their outlandish extraterrestrial garb and gooey, gross-out stage show befitting a heavy metal Gallagher.

Wear something that you won't mind getting ruined on Tuesday when the bands play The Joint at the Hard Rock, 4455 Paradise Road. Tickets are $27.50, call 693-5066.
