Quran Conference to be held today, Saturday

The fifth annual Quran Conference is to be held at the Islamic Society of Nevada today and Saturday.

The theme for this year's conference is "The Quran: A Guidance for Humanity."

Today's session is to begin at 5 p.m., and Saturday's session is to begin at 10:30 p.m. Both will be at 4730 East Desert Inn Road.

The sessions are to focus on interpreting the Muslim holy book during a time when the world is confronting issues such as terrorism, violence and poverty.
