Tim Stauffer allowed just one unearned run in 7 2/3 innings Tuesday night to lead the Portland Beavers to a 4-1 victory over the 51s in a Pacific Coast League game in Portland, Ore.

Stauffer (8-4) gave up three hits and two walks and struck out four to win his fifth straight decision.

The 51s scored on second baseman Craig Stansberry's throwing error in the third.
