My, my … how can he resist Pardee?

Russ Grieve has traveled the world as an actor. When it came time to settle down, he chose the master-planned Mountain's Edge community in the southwestern Las Vegas Valley, choosing a residence in Pardee Homes' La Puerta neighborhood.

"I love the feel of Mountain's Edge and I'm at home here," said Grieve, who is part of the ensemble cast of 'Mamma Mia!' at Mandalay Bay and also works as a Realtor specializing in relocations to Las Vegas. "I was looking for a single-story home in this growing area when I discovered La Puerta."

Grieve said he knew the Residence Two was right for him the moment he walked into the model and saw the home's dining room. He has designed his dining room with an inset leather floor that complements his solid wood, custom dining table and chairs.

Grieve also worked closely with the the builder's design studio to select granite countertops and hardwood flooring for his home and with a local craftsman to complete stone accents in the home.

"I really want this to be the last home I purchase so I paid a lot of attention to details, including choosing a home site that backs up to a paseo and selecting flooring and finishes that create a true sanctuary for me," Grieve said.

The Residence Two at La Puerta measures 1,598 square feet in a single-story design and features three bedrooms, two baths and a two-car garage with an optional den in lieu of the dining room. It is priced from $323,450.

The one- and two-story floor plans at La Puerta feature up to five bedrooms in 1,534 to 2,414 square feet. Prices range from $319,450 to $380,450.

The single-story Residence One measures 1,534 square feet with three bedrooms, two baths and a two-car garage. Residence Three measures 1,962 square feet in a two-story design with three bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, den and two-car garage. It is available with an optional fourth bedroom and third bath in lieu of the den.

The two-story Residence Four measures 2,414 square feet with four bedrooms, three baths, a loft and three-car garage.

"I really see Mountain's Edge as the future 'hub' of our valley and I'm excited to be a part of it," said Grieve.

To visit La Puerta at Mountain's Edge, take State Route 160 west to Buffalo Drive and turn left into the Mountain's Edge community. Proceed south on Buffalo to Cactus Avenue and turn left and follow the signs to the neighborhood.

The master-planned Mountain's Edge community features some 500 acres devoted to open space, including Exploration Peak, a fully restored natural mountain park, in addition to bicycle and walking trails.
