DAYTON -- The Dayton Community Center has been ordered closed by Lyon County officials after an engineering report questioned the building's safety.
An aging foundation, inadequate beams and decaying mortar would make the building unsafe in the event of an earthquake, concluded Roger Hyytinen, a structural engineer who prepared the report.
