Death of 7-month-old investigated
Las Vegas police are investigating the death of a 7-month-old infant who was found dead Thursday morning at an apartment complex near Maryland Parkway and Tropicana Avenue.
The child's caregiver called 911 at about 7 a.m. to report that the child was cold to the touch and turning blue, police said.
The 911 dispatcher gave the caregiver, a woman, instructions on how to perform CPR. The woman performed CPR until paramedics arrived about eight minutes later, police said.
Despite attempts to resuscitate the baby, it died, police said.
Police said the cause of death didn't appear to be suspicious. The county coroner will determine how the baby died.
