The lead sentence in a story Wednesday about the civil case ruling against Veronica Schmidt incorrectly identified the year she was involved in a traffic accident. As stated later in the story, Schmidt lost control of her SUV and crashed into a bus stop, killing four, on March 14, 2005.

A section of type was accidentally dropped from the lead sentence of a story in Wednesday's Business section. The lead should have said: The county's building division recently gave Harrah's Entertainment another month to correct substandard or undocumented remodeling at its Strip property, Harrah's Las Vegas. It is customary for the county to extend deadlines when property owners are making progress at fixing code violations but can't comply in 30 days, a county spokeswoman said.
