A woman died and a man's arm was severed Thursday night in a domestic dispute in which police said three victims were attacked with a machete or other large knife.
Police arrived at an apartment complex in the 700 block of Lilly Lane, near Bonanza Road and Eastern Avenue, at 8:43 p.m. after receiving reports of a man bleeding in the common area of the complex. Officers found three victims on the ground, including two women with head injuries and a man with a severed arm and finger, said Lt. Lew Roberts of the Metropolitan Police Department's homicide unit.
One of the women, who sustained blunt force trauma to her head, died at a hospital, police said. The condition of the other woman and the man wasn't available late Thursday.
The suspect fled and was still at large late Thursday. DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY

FELONY CHARGE
Nye County official charged in bribery case
Nye County Commissioner Peter Liakopoulos has been arrested on a felony charge of seeking a bribe in exchange for his vote.
Nye Detective David Boruchowitz said Liakopoulos attempted to obtain a bribe from Pahrump town board member Laurayne Murray from August to this week.
Boruchowitz said the commissioner asked Murray to appoint his wife as the curator of a veterans memorial in exchange for his support of a bill that would raise taxes by half a cent.
The tax would have helped pay for fire, ambulance and sheriff's services.
Liakopoulos was booked Thursday and released on his own recognizance.
