By Richard Eng

Post Time 1:20 p.m.

Race 1 - 4 1/2 furlongs, Purse $46,000, Maiden special weights, Cal-breds, 2-year-olds

Swiss Ace - Harrington entry gets two top riders, Espinoza on this one and the Mig on the other; typical Swiss Yodeler get will be quick.

Market Exchange - Still rates high with me despite the parking lot post and starting on the turn; Sise is very clever debuting babies.

Long Shot - Suit Yourself

Race 2 - 1 mile (turf, rail at 20 feet), Purse $51,000, Allowance, 4-year-olds and up

Optimer - Got in a pickle last time under Talamo, all dressed up with nowhere to run; switches to the Mig, I know this guy has some pace.

Caribbean - Drysdale class turfer horse has been away 8-months since an even run in the La Jolla; he's adding blinkers on for attention.

Long Shot - Seminole Native

Race 3 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $35,000, Claiming $40,000, 4-year-olds and up

Sunday Nap - Speedball gets claimed in NoCal by Koriner who is outstanding first time out; has the confidence to ship him to SoCal today.

Indian Weaver - Logical chalk regressed in last after running a winning race for this level two back; Pedroza will sit chilly early.

Long Shot - Will

Race 4 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $14,000, Claiming $10,000, Cal-breds, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up

Sexy Operator - Ran very well first off the claim by Kasparoff; won't get 22/1 odds today, but she appears capable of repeating.

Nice But Easy - You need a leap of faith to like anyone in this heat; making her third start off a 13-month hiatus, expect improvement.

Long Shot - Another Comic

Race 5 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $37,000, Claiming $50,000, Fillies, 3-year-olds

Ces't Mark - Running first time for a claiming price, she has a solid class advantage; Espinoza is taking over for the money shot.

Kissin Party - Suspect will use dead late closer tactics turning back in distance; she's been training fine over the Cushion track.

Long Shot - Good N Muddy

Race 6 - 6 furlongs, Purse $24,000, Maiden claiming $50,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up

Itallgreektou - Taking the biggest class drop in racing from MSW to maiden claiming; interesting trainer switch to Aguirre.

Littlejo's Special - Did a classic speed pop and stop last time facing a stronger field; Garcia will have simple tactics today.

Long Shot - Hangin Withmy Buds

Race 7 - 1 mile (turf, rail at 20 feet), Purse $55,000, Allowance, 4-year-olds and up

Kewen - His one mile record on turf is solid with 5-of-6 in the money; tactical speed to sit a perfect trip, the Mig takes over.

Scrummage - If you want to try a long shot, why not Solis and Hendricks in this second time U.S. start; got a test drive down the hill.

Long Shot - Devil's Bay

Race 8 - 1 1/16th miles, Purse $19,000, Maiden claiming $32,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up

Afleet's Desire - Tough parking lot post, but she showed a lot of moxie in last to just miss; tactical speed to sit a stalking trip.

Silvers Surprise - Had every chance to break her maiden last time but regressed some; like the switch to Baze for a rebound effort.

Long Shot - Kokopelli Trail

Best Bet - Itallgreektou (race 6)

Hollywood Tuesday - Picks/Winners/Mutuels, 15/4/$34.40; Long Shots, 8/1/$9.40; Best Bet, 1/0/$0
