The Vistas Village features homes, condos in final sales
June 9, 2007 - 9:00 pm
Altessa and Kingwood, the final two developments in Summerlin's The Vistas Village, feature 25 condominium, single- and two-story floor plans from 684 to 3,158 square feet.
The European-inspired, 280-unit, gated condominium development, Altessa, offers 10 floor plan variations ranging from 684 to 1,390 square feet.
With prices beginning in the low $200,000s, the development includes a private clubhouse, exercise room, fire pit, barbecue area and pool and spa.
Kingwood features three home collections by three home builders.
The Crown Series at Kingwood offers four floor plans from 2,426 to 3,158 square feet with prices starting in the low $500,000s.
Kingwood Crossing by William Lyon Homes offers four floor plans from 1,948 to 2,737 square feet, priced from the low $400,000s and Kingwood Knoll offers seven floor plans that range from 1,515 to 2,224 square feet.
The homes are priced from the mid-$300,000s. Upon completion, Kingwood will include 325 homes and two neighborhood parks.
The social and recreational amenities of both neighborhoods complement the existing amenities already located in The Vistas Village, which includes 28 neighborhoods, more than 30 neighborhood parks, an elementary school and two village parks with a 48-foot clock tower entry.
The village has opened Vistas Community Park, home to Summerlin's first football field, two lighted softball/baseball fields, a concession stand, two lighted tennis courts, a basketball court and children's play areas.
"Home buyers who choose to purchase in The Vistas Village have the advantage of buying into an area with parks, schools and neighborhood amenities already in place," said Julie Cleaver, director of planning for The Howard Hughes Corp., an affiliate of General Growth Properties and developer of Summerlin.
"This is a major perk for many home buyers who prefer buying in an established area rather than a future planned concept."
Though development in The Vistas Village is nearing completion, a few key projects are still underway including the second phase of The Vistas Community Park, which will add a 6,000-square-foot private community center and swimming and wading pools to the village's list of amenities and Vistas Commons, a neighborhood shopping center anchored by Albertsons.
Both developments are scheduled for completion in 2008.
"In its seven years of development, The Vistas Village has become one of Summerlin's most picturesque villages," Cleaver said. "Its location on elevated topography west of the 215 Beltway close to Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area provides a stunning backdrop for this European inspired village.
"The natural beauty of the area, diversity of homes, architectural style and long list of amenities has made this village one of Summerlin's most popular and distinguished villages developed to date."
Developed by The Howard Hughes Corp., an affiliate of General Growth Properties Inc., Summerlin began to take shape in 1990.
The 22,500-acre master-planned community is located along the western rim of the Las Vegas Valley.
Home to more than 95,000 residents, the community has 7,500 acres still to develop, including its urban core, Summerlin Centre, and offers more than 100 neighborhood and village parks, in addition to more than 150 completed miles of the Summerlin trail system. The community includes houses of worship, shopping centers, medical and cultural facilities, business parks and more than 60 model homes.
Homes are available in a variety of styles -- from single-family homes to townhomes, condominiums and lofts -- priced from the low $200,000s to more than $2 million.
Custom home sites in The Ridges are priced from the $500,000s.
Luxury apartment homes offer monthly rents starting from the low $1,000s.
