Trump celebrates project

Donald J. Trump and Phil G. Ruffin celebrated the topping off of Tower I at their Las Vegas Strip condominium hotel development Friday.

Tower I at the Trump International Hotel & Towers Las Vegas, located behind the New Frontier Hotel & Casino, is a 64-story building with 1,282 condominium hotel units ranging in size from studios to three-bedroom penthouse suites. A second tower, a twin to the first, is on the drawing board with sales under way.

"Las Vegas is a perfect place for a Trump condominium hotel," said Brian Baudreau, vice president of development for The Trump Organization. "When the tower opens in early 2008, residents and guests will be assured that their share of the Trump lifestyle is as opulent as they imagined."

The 2 million-square-foot tower was designed by Bergman, Walls & Associates. Perini Building Co. was hired as project general contractor.

The building's signature façade of 24-karat gold-tinted glass rises up 620 feet, making it the tallest residential building in Nevada.

Construction on Tower I began in November 2005 with the pouring of a massive 4,300 square yards of concrete for the foundation. Upon completion of the 36,000-square-foot recreational deck in March 2006, Perini constructed one floor about every six days. An average of 800 construction workers have been on the jobsite daily since then, with work continuing round-the-clock.

Tower I will have a signature restaurant featuring fine and casual dining; a Trump Spa and Salon; a business center with meeting facilities and a heated outdoor pool with sundeck and bar.

All guests and residents of Trump Las Vegas will have access to 24-hour concierge service, white-gloved doormen and valet parking.

Prices for hotel condominium units in Tower I ranged from the $700,000s to $7 million.

Units in the second tower became available for sale last month and prospective buyers can call 877-878-6711 or visit trumplv.com.

Information can also be obtained at the Trump International Hotel & Towers Las Vegas Sales Plaza, located at 3128 Las Vegas Blvd. South, on the northwest corner of the Las Vegas Strip and Fashion Show Lane.

Trump International Hotel & Towers Las Vegas is a joint venture of Trump and Ruffin.
