The possible extension of Paradise Hills Drive is facing a new roadblock after a Henderson City Council vote Tuesday.

James Schaeffer is an award winning video editor, broadcast journalist and producer based in Las Vegas. He has won two Pacific Southwest Emmys, been a Society of Professional Journalists finalist for television in-depth reporting and ranked fifth in the United States in commercial video editing at SkillsUSA. He previously hosted two seasons of the political roundtable show "The Scramble" at UNLV-TV as well as served as showrunner for UNLV's broadcast news division "Studio-G". He studied journalism and political science at the College of Southern Nevada and UNLV. He reported for CNN, CNN en Espanol and KULR-TV during the 2017 Las Vegas shooting.
