PREPRESS TECHNICIAN
The Las Vegas Review Journal is looking for an individual with newspaper or commercial print experience. While our primary responsibility is to print the daily newspaper, our commercial work is growing at a rapid rate and becoming a critical part of the operation.
Requirements/Skills:
• Must have good customer service skills
• Solid understanding of print reproduction and print quality
• Knowledge of prepress operations
• Good eyesight and attention to detail
• Able to bend, squat and lift up to 50 lbs. frequently
• Able to organize time and multiple projects with little supervision
• Able to work in a fast paced, TEAM environment
• Able to communicate effectively at all levels, both written and verbal
• Knowledge of newspaper/page layout requirements
• Knowledge of commercial press/page layout, impositions and signature requirements
• Possess computer skills as well as some knowledge of Excel and Adobe InDesign
• Must be able to work night shift, including some weekends and holidays.
• Must pass, in all relevant ways, a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

OFFSET PRESS OPERATOR
The Las Vegas Review-Journal print division is growing at a significant rate. We are currently looking for press operators that are capable of performing multiple duties on a GOSS Newsliner double wide press.
We are looking for skilled individuals with print backgrounds but will certainly consider others for training. The qualified applicant will have a strong mechanical aptitude, ability to work in a team environment, make quality decisions and possess good communication skills.
While our primary responsibility is to print the daily newspaper, our commercial work is growing at a rapid rate and becoming a critical part of the operation.
Requirements/Skills
• Knowledge of newspaper printing and commercial printing
• Solid understanding of print reproduction and print quality
• Able to work in a fast paced, TEAM environment
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays if necessary
• This position is based in Las Vegas
• Must pass in all relevant ways a pre-employment drug screen and background check
