15-year-old dies in pickup rollover in Henderson

A 15-year-old girl died after the pickup truck she was riding in rolled over in Henderson Friday night.

The white Chevrolet Silverado was driven by a juvenile who was speeding with a red Ford F-250 pickup truck that was driven by another juvenile, according to Henderson police.

The driver of the Chevrolet lost control of the truck, which left the roadway and flipped over at Grand Hills and Villa Barolo drives, near Eastern Avenue and Sun City Anthem Drive, about 11:30 p.m., police said.

The 15-year-old girl, whose name was not released, was partially ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver and two other passengers were taken to area hospitals, according to police. The extent of their injuries was not released.
The juvenile driver of the Ford was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
