18-year-old dies after crashing car

An 18-year-old man died Tuesday morning after he lost control of his vehicle and struck a concrete barrier in Henderson.

The teen was driving a 2001 Honda Civic west on Warm Springs Road near Boulder Highway when the car left the road, struck a concrete barrier and then came to a stop on top of several other barriers, Henderson police said.

The driver was thrown from the Honda and pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said witnesses told them that the teen was racing another car before the accident.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to call the Police Department at 267-4795.
