2-year-old boy pulled out of pool dies

A 2-year-old boy is believed to have drowned Monday afternoon at his parents' home near Tropicana Avenue and Maryland Parkway, authorities said.

Bryson Marlon Rodas was not breathing when he was pulled out of a pool at the home in the 1000 block of Count Wutzke Avenue about 2 p.m., authorities said.

As of Tuesday evening, the county coroner had not yet determined the exact cause of Bryson's death.

The Metropolitan Police Department's abuse and neglect unit is investigating the case.
